Before that: founded KD, a legal AI assistant. ~10 Delhi law firms as customers, some paying. YC Startup School. Plone CMS contributor. Ran infra for a 15,000-person India–Russia hackathon.

Arpit Solanki is a founding engineer at QuicShop, an AI-native store builder for Indian sellers, and a B.Tech CSE student at Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology. Works on whatever is blocking the company: code, sales, growth or infra.
Grew up in a farming village in Uttar Pradesh. Almost everyone around worked on farms; nobody coded. Educated parents who pushed in the right direction, and YouTube for everything else. Learned English at 10 to read a school computer book. First computer in 2016: an uncle's old office PC with no internet, used to learn every corner of Windows XP and mod GTA and Minecraft. Java from a phone app in 8th grade, websites by the end of 10th.
During JEE prep in the COVID years, started a tech YouTube channel alongside a younger brother's gaming channel, built on breaking down what made content go viral. The channels didn't scale. The brother now makes videos for companies like MicroAGI and CodeAnt AI (YC), with Arpit still advising. JEE Advanced 2023: rank ~16,000 among ~1.2 million candidates.
College: Smart India Hackathon finalist in year one, IEEE hackathon winner in year two. Ran the site and infra for an India–Russia BRICS hackathon with 15,000+ participants on limited college resources, and brought in founders from YC- and a16z-backed startups as judges. Plone CMS contributor since December 2024: documentation sprints with core maintainers, bug fixes, and an OAuth 2.0 migration for the Authomatic library.
2025: freelanced at AfterQuery (YC) on Docker-based DevOps tasks. Then founded KD, a legal AI assistant built for what generic chatbots miss: exact citations, Indian Kanoon and eCourts integration, role-based organization data, and drafts that come out as tracked-changes Word files. Three months in Delhi with law firms; ~10 became customers, some paying. YC Startup School. Long sales cycles and on-premise demands ended it after ~7 months.
2026: built Agent Yap, a 199-slide course on AI agent architecture with Claude-powered answers that cite the exact slide. Joined QuicShop in June and signed up ~30 pilot sellers on day one, pitching stall to stall at a Bangalore seller event. Since then: Razorpay subscription billing, an n8n funnel that drafts WhatsApp outreach to Instagram sellers, real-time inventory sync, faster checkout, and Salesforce replaced with self-hosted Twenty, cutting CRM costs from ~US$1,000 to ~US$50 a month. Nobody assigned the user-acquisition work at QuicShop. It needed solving.

I work across engineering, growth and infra. - Built subscription billing on Razorpay end to end (retries, webhooks, failed and partial charges), so we could start charging. - Built a seller acquisition funnel: n8n finds Instagram sellers without a storefront and drafts personalised WhatsApp outreach for the team to review and send. - Cut CRM costs ~95%: Salesforce replaced with self-hosted Twenty, ~US$1,000 to ~US$50 a month. - Signed up ~30 pilot sellers on my first day, pitching at a Bangalore seller event. - Before this, founded KD, a legal AI assistant. Spent 3 months in Delhi with law firms; ~10 became customers, some paying. YC Startup School. - Plone CMS contributor since 2024; ran infra for a 15,000+ person India–Russia hackathon. - Grew up in a farming village in Uttar Pradesh. First computer in 2016, self-taught from there. More at arpitsolanki.in. Happy to share details on any of this. Arpit
